Download a more recent codec pack from FreeCodecs. I use Media Player Classic v6.4.9.0 and the June 9th, 2008 version 1993 of FFDshow Codec pack, and I have yet to run into a video I cannot play.
I do not respond to questions about codecs, file splitting, or other technical questions. That is what search engines are for.
